Gov. Kemp announces Superior and State Court appointments
The governor’s office said Randal “Randy” M. McGinley was appointed to the Superior Court of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit and Brent C. Carter was appointed to the State Court of Candler County.

The governor’s office said Randal “Randy” M. McGinley was appointed to the Superior Court of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit and Brent C. Carter was appointed to the State Court of Candler County.
Governor Brian P. Kemp announced judicial appointments, according to an official press release from the Office of the Governor of Georgia.
The release said Randal “Randy” M. McGinley was appointed to the Superior Court of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable W. Kendall Wynne, Jr.
The release said Brent C. Carter was appointed to the State Court of Candler County, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable J. Kendall Gross.
According to the governor’s office, McGinley has served as the District Attorney of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit since 2020.
The press release said Carter is a partner at CarterFranklin, LLP.
