About Georgia Raw

Georgia Raw is building a fast, accountable statewide newsroom for the stories shaping life across Georgia.

Real Stories. Real Georgia.

Georgia Raw reports on public life and the everyday forces changing the state—from government, traffic, development, business, and public safety to music, events, neighborhoods, and culture. We aim to make consequential information clear, useful, and easy to reach on any screen.

Our audience often arrives through search, a social post, or a shared link. Every reader should still receive the complete context: clear sourcing, precise timestamps, meaningful updates, and a visible path to our standards.

What we cover

  • Breaking and developing news with verification and context.
  • State and local government, courts, infrastructure, and public records.
  • Traffic, transportation, construction, zoning, and development.
  • Business openings, closings, and changes that affect communities.
  • Georgia music, entertainment, events, food, and culture.
  • Service journalism that helps readers understand what changes and what happens next.

How our newsroom works

Accuracy comes before speed. Public records are sources, not automatic proof, and automated tools are never publication authorities. We distinguish verified facts from allegations, attribute consequential claims, preserve source provenance, and correct material errors transparently.

Sensitive reporting—including arrests, accusations, court matters, deaths, serious injuries, minors, missing persons, domestic violence, sexual offenses, medical information, private addresses, unverified social claims, and graphic imagery—cannot be published automatically. It requires documented review and authorized human approval.

Free to read

Georgia Raw is designed as a free, advertising-supported publication. We do not offer a paywall or paid news subscription. Advertising must be labeled, visually separate from journalism, and kept away from sensitive editorial controls.

Commercial considerations do not determine what we cover, how we frame a story, whether we correct an error, or how we review a privacy or removal concern.
