The Georgia Department of Public Health said the case involves an unvaccinated Bryan County resident and that officials are notifying people who may have been exposed.
The Georgia Department of Public Health said it has confirmed measles in an unvaccinated Bryan County resident, according to an official press release.
The agency said the individual recently traveled out of state and had no history of international travel.
DPH said it is notifying individuals who may have been exposed to the virus and are at increased risk of developing measles.
According to the state health department, this is the second reported measles case in Georgia in 2026. The agency also said there were 10 confirmed measles cases in Georgia in 2025.
