Georgia attorney general announces three PDE-related convictions in DeKalb County

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr announced that the state’s Gang Prosecution Unit secured three convictions in DeKalb County involving members of PDE, which the release identifies as a local criminal street gang also known as Paradise East or Paper Drugs Extortion.

According to the release, Darius Scott was convicted by a DeKalb County jury on June 25, 2026. Jamerson McCamey and Corey Dumas entered guilty pleas before trial, and both were sentenced to prison.

The release states that Scott was convicted on three counts of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and one count of unlawful possession of a machine gun. It says his sentencing is scheduled for July 7, 2026.

McCamey pleaded guilty in April 2026 and was sentenced to 20 years, with the first 10 years to be served in prison and the remainder on strict probation, according to the release. The listed counts were two violations of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act and one count of possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer.

Dumas pleaded guilty in January 2026 and was sentenced to five years in prison, the release states. The listed counts were two violations of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act and one count of possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18 years.

The Attorney General’s Office said the Gang Prosecution Unit was created in 2022 and began work on July 1, 2022.
